Hormones play an important role in regulating the body's metabolism, growth, development, reproduction, sex, sexual desire and sexual activity. They are chemical information substances synthesized by highly differentiated endocrine cells and directly secreted into the blood. Metabolic activities to affect the physiological activities of the human body. High-efficiency biologically active substances secreted by endocrine glands or endocrine cells transmit information as messengers in the body, and substances that regulate the physiological processes of the body are called hormones.

  • Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH)

Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) superfamily, a glycoprotein secreted by immature Sertoli cells of the testis and granulosa cells of the antral follicles and small sinus follicles of the ovary. Its levels directly correlate with the number of follicles in the ovary and are mainly used to assess ovarian reserve function to reflect the number of antral follicles, or follicle count (AFC), as well as to predict the response to controlled ovulation promotion.

  • Prolactin(PRL)

PRL is a protein hormone secreted by the pituitary gland and is composed of 199 amino acid residues. Its effect on mammary gland and lactation is mainly to promote mammary gland development and growth, and to cause and maintain lactation. During puberty, mammary gland development is mainly stimulated by estrogen, while progesterone and growth hormone also play a synergistic role. During pregnancy, prolactin, human chorionic growth hormone, progesterone and estrogen cause further development of breast tissue.

  • Luteinizing Hormone (LH)

Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a glycoprotein-like gonadotropin secreted by the pituitary cells that promotes the conversion of cholesterol into sex hormones in gonadal cells.

  • Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)

Follicle-stimulating hormone is a hormone synthesized and secreted by the pituitary gland and belongs to the group of glycosylated protein hormones, named after the first discovery of its stimulatory effect on the maturation of female follicles. Subsequent studies have shown that follicle stimulating hormone is one of the most important hormones in both sexes, regulating development, growth, pubertal sexual maturation, and a series of physiological processes related to reproduction.

  • Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)

Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) is a peptide hormone secreted by the vertebrate pituitary gland that promotes tissue hyperplasia and the production and secretion of corticosteroids in the adrenal cortex; the production and secretion of ACTH is directly regulated by hypothalamic CRH-releasing factor. Excess corticotropin secretion in turn affects the pituitary and hypothalamus, weakening their activity.
