Clinical Significance

The pathogen of viral hepatitis B is the hepatitis B virus, abbreviated as HBV, and the hepatitis B virus is a DNA virus. The genome is double-stranded, circular, incompletely closed DNA. the outermost layer of the virus is the outer membrane or envelope of the virus, and the inner layer is the core part (core), the nucleoprotein is the core antigen (HBcAg), which cannot be detected in the serum.

Viral hepatitis B is an infectious disease caused by hepatitis B virus with liver lesions as the main cause. The main clinical manifestations are loss of appetite, nausea, upper abdominal discomfort, liver pain and fatigue. Some patients may have jaundice fever and hepatomegaly with liver function impairment. Some patients can be chronic and even develop cirrhosis, and a few can develop into hepatocellular carcinoma.
